As we approach the Pluto return of the United States, I think it is time to consider another U.S. birth chart other than the July 4, 1776 chart. Some time back an astrologer named David Solte proposed a chart for the U.S. which is the date of the signing of the Articles of Confederation. He argues July 4, 1776 was merely a declaration by the 13 separate states, and did not constitute the legal beginning of the US as an entity. The Solte chart is Nov. 15, 1777, at 12:46 pm in Spring Garden, PA. (County of York) The time is rectified.
I recently read a book called The Brothers, the Hidden History of the Kennedy Years, by David Talbot. An interview with the author from 2007 is available on Fresh Air on NPR. The author makes a compelling case that JFK's assassination was a conspiracy planned by the military industrial complex that Eisenhower famously warned against:
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. (President Dwight Eisenhower in his Jan. 17, 1961 farewell address)
After reading this book, I pulled up the Solte Scorpio chart for America, posted below. That chart really does seem to fit the US better than the Cancer chart. Apple pie and motherhood is more of a myth than a reality, when one considers that the U.S. does not really do well by its children and mothers as can be seen by statistics on poverty and infant mortality. The Scorpio chart has a Mercury Saturn conjunction in Scorpio in the 8th house of death, which would go with conspiracies. The ruler of the Sun in Scorpio is Pluto in the 12th house of hidden enemies.
What is really convincing is a look at the progressions to certain events, including Kennedy's assassination. That chart is included below. As you can see, Uranus and Venus are conjunct the progressed MC (leader) at 14 Gemini, which is the natal point of Uranus in the 4th house in the Solte U.S. chart. Transits on Nov. 22, 1963 include Pluto at 14.04' Virgo exactly square Uranus (assassination and sudden events) in the 4th house. Neptune is 15 Scorpio conjunct Black Moon Lilith in the 9th, Uranus is 9 Virgo sextile Mercury in Scorpio in the 8th and square to the MC of the Solte chart at 8 Sagittarius. Pluto is also by transit conjunct the Vertex in the 7th house. The progressed Moon is 13 Pisces oppose the Vertex and square the MC, Uranus and Venus. There was also a new moon eclipse on July 20, 1963, conjunct Pluto in the Solte chart, setting the stage for covert action.
Five years later, when Bobby Kennedy was assassinated on June 6, 1968, the progressed South Node was conjunct Pluto on the progressed Descendant, Saturn was opposite Venus (the beloved) in the 8th house of death, Neptune was conjunct the Sun of the Solte chart, and transiting Sun was conjunct natal Uranus. Pluto by transit was at 20 Virgo conjunct Vesta. Solar Arc Pluto was Square to Saturn in the 8th. Bobby Kennedy had Moon conjunct South Node at 28 Capricorn in the 10th house, and the USA Pluto in the Solte chart is 28 Capricorn. There was a full moon eclipse at 23 Libra on April 13th, 1968, exact on Venus at 23 Libra in the 8th house of the USA Solte chart, presaging the killing of RFK.
When Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968, the progressed Ascendant of the Solte chart was 20 Virgo, conjunct Vesta in the 7th. Vesta by progression was conjunct Neptune in the 7th of the Solte chart, and as in the RFK assassination, Solar Arc Pluto was 8 Leo square to Saturn, and Solar Arc Mars was approaching a square to Venus in the 8th. Martin Luther King's Midheaven was 28 Capricorn, and Pluto in the Solte chart is 28 Capricorn. Finally, on Sept. 11, 2001, with the attack on the U.S., Saturn was 14 Gemini conjunct Uranus in the 4th, and Pluto was opposed to Uranus. If that does not cinch it, Uranus was conjunct the Ascendant of the Solte chart (Uranus at 21.50 Aquarius and Ascendant of Solte chart at 22 .02 Aquarius) and square to the Sun. Jupiter was conjunct the North Node opposed to Mars and the South Node. Also, progressed Mercury (travel) was exactly conjunct Uranus in the 4th. As a country, we have killed off some of our best leaders, and we don't have all the facts. The assassination records for JFK have not yet been fully released, despite a law mandating release. Biden has till October 26th of this year to respond to the Archivist's Sept. 26 recommendation. Many Americans believe JFK's death to have been the result of a government conspiracy. This is Mercury Saturn in Scorpio in the 8th, as shown by the Solte chart. Of course the July 4, 1776 chart has planets in the 8th house as well, but I put my vote with the Articles of Confederation Chart. If we go with the Solte chart, then the Pluto return of the US occurs on March 10, 2022, to be exact.
