The New Yorker reports this week that on Feb. 22 Trump's accounting firm turned over "millions of pages of personal and corporate records, dating from 2011 to 2019, that Trump had withheld from prosecutors and the public." Cyrus Vance Jr., the Manhattan DA, had secured a key victory in the case against the former President who has fought like hell to keep this tax and accounting records secret. The case went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Of appearing before the Supreme Court, Vance noted that "Truly, it was like Mt. Olympus."
For astrologers, an interesting note is that Trump and Vance share a birthday, June 14th. So I took a look at their charts as there are birth times for both. Trump has Sun at 22 Gemini in the 10th house, and Vance has Sun at 22 Gemini in the 1st, both angular houses.
Both men have Neptune coming up to Square their Suns. For Trump, Neptune will make a T-square out of his Sun Moon opposition, causing at least some stress or disillusionment. For Vance, who has a natal Sun Neptune trine, Neptune will create a grand trine with his Moon in Scorpio trine his Venus Uranus in Cancer, which may simply be reflective of his transition into retirement and spending more time with family. Vance has announced he will retire at the end of this year.
Although these two share a birthday, they are actually engaged in quite a battle. Who will win in the end?
Trump's transits put him at a disadvantage. The 12th house is the house of secrets, and he has Pluto at 10 Leo in the 12th house. As of today Saturn at 10 Aquarius is transiting opposite his natal Pluto. Ebertin notes this can mean the loss of one's fortune or possessions. By late April, Uranus the great disrupter will square Trump's Pluto. Pluto rules Trump's fourth house of the home, so a move could be in order. With these two planets in aspect to the 12th house Pluto it is not inevitable that the former President's secrets will come out, but it is quite likely. Progressed aspects between two natal charts can also indicate interactions between the two individuals. For example Venus progressed aspects from one person's chart to another's can indicate romance.
What we see currently between Trump and Vance is that Vance has his progressed Sun at 26 Leo 33. This puts it exactly conjunct Trump's 12th house Mars at 26 Leo 46. Mars is the god of war, so this is fitting. The aspect will be exact by minute in about 2 months. Trump's natal Mars in the 12th house can reflect self undoing.
In Vance's progressed chart right now progressed Mercury (the mind) is conjunct Pluto. This is an intense pairing, but good for research. Also, natally Vance has Moon in Scorpio in the 6th house of work, so he is a natural sleuth.
It is an interesting battle to watch, and many are doing so.
