Black Moon Lilith and Mrs. Maisel
The Black Moon Lilith, also sometimes called the dark moon, is the point along the moon's orbit when it's farthest from Earth. Jewish lore is that Lilith was the first wife of Adam who refused to be subservient to him. Lilith has thus in part become known for female empowerment, and that is why Sarah McLachlan named her all women music festival in the 90s the Lilith Fair.
What part this point plays in individual horoscopes has only been studied recently. As noted, Black Moon Lilith is a point in space and not a planet. For the sake of this article, I am using the Mean rather than the True Black Moon Lilith.
One of my favorite shows is Mrs. Maisel, which stars Rachel Brosnahan. Mrs. Maisel is clearly ahead of her time for the 50s and 60s, in which the show is set, as she plays a female stand up comedian who is friends with Lenny Bruce. I thought Rachel Brosnahan's chart might have a strong Lilith, and she does. The actress has Scorpio rise, with Pluto on the Ascendant, and Lilith in the first house at 28 Scorpio.
I ran a chart for March 17, 2017, the day the show premiered. The chart has Lilith at 3 degrees Sagittarius. Rachel's progressed Ascendant was 3 degrees Sagittarius at the time. As of September 1st Lilith is at 15 degrees of Cancer, moving to 18 Cancer by October 1st, so note where it is currently placed in your chart.
