Some astrologers believe that when an outer planet enters your Sun sign, you feel the influence of that planet even though the aspect is not exact. Pluto is now firmly in the sign of Aquarius, and those born under the sign of Aquarius will be having a Pluto transit sooner or later. For the Chief Justice, John Roberts, it will be sooner.
Pluto transits are transformational, and it can often be traumatic. Some say you are never the same after a Pluto transit. See Zelensky and the World. Although Pluto was not yet in Aquarius when Russia invaded Ukraine, it is now, and I have a feeling Zelenksy will be in the news for a while. Pluto will reach his Sun in the spring of 2026.
We don't have a birth time for the Chief Justice, but his Sun is in early Aquarius, and his Chiron is 0 Aquarius.
For a long time, Court watchers believed Roberts would protect the reputation of the Court. However, two key cases stand out from where we are now.
Citizens United was a 2010 case (allowing unlimited contributions to campaigns by corporations) that is in large part responsible for destroying our democracy. Roberts had a key hand in this ruling, which could have been decided on much narrower grounds. See the New Yorker article Money Unlimited for background on this case.
Roberts wrote the July 1, 2024 opinion in Trump v. United States, that granted what many see as an unjustified amount of immunity to the President. So now the question is how will he and his Court respond to what he has in part created. Dean Erwin Chemerinsky believes the Court will pull back and act in part as a break on the exercise of Presidential power. (in response to a question I asked of him during a video conference he did on the Court after Trump had been in office for a week or so)
While we can't tell which way Roberts will rule from his chart, it is interesting to notice he has Mercury in Aquarius square Saturn (deep concentration) and opposite Pluto. He was so ahead of the curve at La Lumiere High School that the school had to create a curriculum just for him. This is a lot of intellectual fire power. His Mercury is also sextile Venus and quincunx Jupiter Uranus. Venus and Mercury both go stationary retrograde on his Mars this month, and there is an eclipse on his Mars on March 29th. Eclipses often trigger events. March is a key month to watch in terms of the astrology.
Amy Coney Barrett is another Aquarius to watch. Notably, in the two Trump cases in the last term, Barrett showed a more cautious approach. In Trump v. Anderson, in which the Court unanimously held that Trump had to remain on the ballot, Barrett noted as follows in her concurring opinion:
I join Parts I and II–B of the Court’s opinion. I agree that States lack the power to enforce Section 3 against Presidential candidates. That principle is sufficient to resolve this case, and I would decide no more than that. .....
The majority’s choice of a different path leaves the remaining Justices with a choice of how to respond. In my judgment, this is not the time to amplify disagreement with stridency. The Court has settled a politically charged issue in the volatile season of a Presidential election. Particularly in this circumstance, writings on the Court should turn the national temperature down, not up.
In the Presidential Immunity case, she did not agree with the broad scale of the ruling.
I do not join Part III–C, however, which holds that the Constitution limits the introduction of protected conduct as evidence in a criminal prosecution of a President, beyond the limits afforded by executive privilege. See ante, at 30–32. I disagree with that holding; on this score, I agree with the dissent.
She is interesting (Aquarians usually are) and I think she will hold her own on the Court.

No birth time available.
